Character Analysis
Juan Teobaldo (J.T.) Domingos is the railroading husband of Emelina. We don't learn a huge amount about him, except that he loves his wife. He seems like a nice guy, and he looks awfully pretty when he's hanging out in the orchard all sweaty.
As a kid, J.T. spent a lot of time playing with Codi and Hallie. As teenagers, though, they fell out of touch because J.T. was the most popular jock in high school, while Codi wore orthopedic shoes and was desperately uncool. Now that she's changed up her footwear, though, they're friends again.
