Exactly how steamy is this story?

There's not a lot of romance or sex going on in Belle Prater's Boy, which is just as well because the two main characters, Gypsy and Woodrow, are first cousins who have a lot of other things on their mind. They have big-time family problems to solve, schoolwork to tend to, and movies to see. The closest the book comes to getting steamy is when Woodrow serves the young debutantes at the garden party, but that's just run-of-the-mill childhood crush stuff. He's just in puppy love with all those pretty older girls in their pastel frocks.
