Character Analysis
Shana and Sylvia are Becca's older sisters, and they're so similar that they're practically indistinguishable. They both have families, they're both a little snobby, and they both live in far-away towns. Sylvia's in social work and Shana's in real estate. Or wait, is it vice versa?
Okay, okay, we looked it up: "Shana [is] in real estate and Sylvia [is] a social worker." (2.29) There you go. Don't say we never did anything for you.
Shana and Sylvia are only 18 months apart in age, so they've always excluded Becca a little. But they still care a lot about their little sis. The Berlins are tight like that.
