Guide Mentor
Character Role Analysis
Brother Leon
Unfortunately, Brother Leon is the guy who's guiding and shaping the boys at Trinity. They have other teachers, but Leon is the most dominant personality. Look at "Characters: Gregory Bailey" for an example of the twisted "lessons" Brother Leon is doling out. Hopefully, most of Trinity's students can use Brother Leon as a negative example, and he can guide them by showing them how not to be.
Jerry Renault
Most kids at Trinity never even consider challenging Leon and The Vigils, or even refusing to sell the chocolates they have no interest in selling. Jerry's concise "No" opens their eyes to the possibility of making their own decisions, and they embrace it. But, because Jerry's admirers don't band together to support him, it's easy for The Vigils to turn their admiration for Jerry into a thirst for vengeance.
