Mickey and Susan

Wahoo looks up to his dad in many ways: Mickey is strong, skilled, and cares deeply about being a good steward of animals and children. He takes care of his family and any animal that needs help, including Tuna, Wahoo's friend. Mickey guides Wahoo toward becoming an active person in the world, one who will never sit back and let bad things happen without first doing his best to solve the problem. Mickey also guides Wahoo to stand up for what he believes in.

Susan is Wahoo's emotional support and the person he seeks out when he needs comfort or advice. And Susan indeed gives good, sound advice. She is a good contrast to Mickey's impulsive, immature character, and Wahoo gets his ability to reason, plan, commit, and follow through with his goals from his mother's example.
