Simon Timeline & Summary

Simon starts kissing on Clary and calling her his girlfriend, and although she lets him, she always seems to have someone else on the brain.
He meets the werewolf girl Maia at the werewolf bar and she seems to take a liking to him, but he's too focused on Clary.
Simon basically tags around for a bit until he witnesses Clary and Jace kiss for the Faerie Queen.
Upset, he goes a vampire hotel to see if he's going to become a vampire. The short answer: yes.
The long answer: the vampires kill him; he has to be buried and reborn.
This happens, and Simon is now a vampire.
He gets into a fight with Maia, who now hates him because he's a vampire and werewolves hate vampires.
Clary tries to explain to her how racist this is.
With his new vampy powers, Simon helps fight off some demons, but eventually gets kidnapped by Valentine who needs vamp blood for his ritual.
Valentine kills Simon. Yes, he dies. Again.
Jace finds him, and he's not quite dead yet, so Jace feeds him some of his delicious blood. (Don't let Clary know.)
Simon lives, but the sun is rising as they escape Valentine's sinking ship.
Strangely, the sun doesn't harm him. It seems that Jace's blood has made Simon immune to the sun.
Maybe it's made Simon immune to Clary, too. He breaks up with her. He just wants to be friends.
