Sir Launcelot and the Knights to the Rescue
- The Yankee and the other slaves are sent to the scaffold, and when Arthur proclaims himself the king, the crowd just mocks him for it.
- The first three slaves are hanged
- They are preparing to hang the king when Launcelot, Clarence, and the knights ride in on bicycles to save the day.
- Clarence tells the Yankee that he was training the knights on their bicycles and was "just hungry for a chance to show it off" (38.6).
