Uther and Merlin

Boy, do these guys hate each other's guts. Uther is absolutely everything Merlin is not: rash, physical, oversexed, proud, self-serving. We think that covers it. Take a look at their convo at the end of the book, and you'll see the contrast: Merlin's talking about the fate of all Britain, while Uther's mad that he couldn't even have one romp in bed without something going wrong.
