Antagonist: The Lonely One

Inasmuch as Dandelion Wine has an antagonist, it's the Lonely One. After all, he's the character most representative of death, which is definitely Doug's arch nemesis. Strangely, Doug isn't particularly scared of dying at the hands of the killer; he's scared of dying in any old way at all. But with his proximity to Elizabeth Ramsell's murder (or at least her corpse), Doug's pretty lucky to have escaped the Lonely One's clutches.
