Park's parents

Park's parents, Jamie and Mindy, with their genuinely loving relationship, are probably the only truly helpful adults in the novel—but they're really helpful. Since they're still very much in love with each other, they really get Park's relationship with Eleanor. Even though sometimes their guidance is misdirected—Jamie can be too hard on Park when it comes to learning stick shift, and Mindy gives Eleanor a makeover she really doesn't want—in the end, Jamie and Mindy are instrumental in helping Park get Eleanor to safety.
