It's pretty clear-cut whose story this is. We stay in Perry's head the whole time. We know what he's thinking, learn his backstory, follow him around. Perry's an observer, though, so we learn a lot about the characters around him, too. Perry does a lot of listening, instead of making every conversation about him.
