The magical wilderness must be explored… and Newt Scamander is just the guy to do it.
Mr. Scamander has travelled far and wide to bring us Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them no matter where they lurk in the world. From the forests of Africa to the lakes of Japan, Mr. Scamander will go anywhere and everywhere if it means catching a glimpse of a rare and beautiful magical creature. There's no beast too dangerous and no fact to obscure.
And he doesn't do it for the fame and glory—he does it for Magizoology. Now that's a hero.
Questions About Exploration
- Why do you think Mr. Scamander doesn't write about his first-person adventures more? If he's studied these animals in person, he doesn't seem to give much indication of that in his entries.
- If you were on the hunt for fantastic beasts, which country or region of the world would you most like to explore?
- The Fantastic Beasts movie features several new magical creatures. Why would Newt Scamander have left those out of his original edition of Fantastic Beasts? Or any of the 52 editions that came after?
