Angela

Sometimes guides take a main character's hands and gently lead them toward where they need to go. Other times guides model a path or way of being in the world that the main character stands to benefit from. And then there's Angela: reluctant friend and sourpuss. Which makes her the perfect guide for Will. How so? She's the person who stops treating him like damaged goods and tells him to get with the program and stop moping through his life. What Will needs more than anything is a swift kick in the rear, which Angela's happy to provide.
