Uncle Jack Finch

Who is a girl to turn to when her father might be a horrible racist? Why, her equally racist Uncle Jack, of course.

Or is he? As a mentor, Uncle Jack is way more cryptic than Yoda. Pompous mannerisms aside, it's difficult to tell whose side he's on. Is he defending Atticus? Is he supporting Jean Louise? Perhaps the most important question is wondering if these two things are mutually exclusive. Maybe all Uncle Jack wants to do is keep the peace.
