Emiko Yamane (Momoko Kōchi)’s Timeline and Summary

Ogata breaks off his date with Emiko when he receives a phone call about a missing ship. She's disappointed but cool with it. (Hey, that ships not going to find itself.)
She accompanies her father and Professor Tanabe to Odo Island to investigate what's going on.
There, she's one of the first people to confirm Godzilla's existence, and it legitimately freaks her out because, yeah, that would be freaky.
Sometime later, Hagiwara asks if Emiko will introduce him to Dr. Serizawa, her fiancé. She agrees to make the introduction, seeing this as a good opportunity to break off engagement so she can be with Ogata.
Serizawa shows Emiko what he's been sciencing up in his lab. She promises to tell no one, but is so scared by what she sees that she forgets to break off the engagement.
After Godzilla destroys Tokyo, Emiko volunteers at a field hospital. There, she sees the death and misery caused by Godzilla and breaks her promise by telling Ogata about the Oxygen Destroyer.
She goes with Ogata to convince Serizawa to lend them the device.
Emiko's present on the ship as Serizawa kills Godzilla. She mourns her friend's death, but she decides to live happily with Ogata to honor Serizawa's final request. And she lived happily ever after…well, until Godzilla vs. Destoroyah at least. Then things get super weird again.
