Medusa's Clique: Geology Club
In the corners of the lunch yard, digging for fossils in the dirt, whittling wooden statues with a knife, and carving statues out of stone, you'll find the Geology Club, of which Medusa is president. She and her fellow stone-enthusiasts love to make things out of stone and wood. These budding sculptors can't get enough of Pottery class. They also entertain themselves during their lunch break with mini projects.
The Jotun Stone-Mason
In Norse mythology, a giant arrives and offers to build a huge wall around Asgard to keep out the giants (called Jotuns). But his work won't come cheap. As payment, he asks for the beautiful goddess Freyja, the sun, and the moon. The Asgard gods agree to give him what he wants if he promises to build the wall in one season. The stone-mason asks if he can use his stallion to help him with the project, and Loki convinces the Asgard gods to agree to these terms. It turns out that the stone-mason is REALLY good and REALLY fast building huge walls. Just when it looks like he's about to complete the project in time and take Freyja, the sun, and the moon, Loki steps in to save the day. Loki shape-shifts into a lady horse and seduces the stone-mason's stallion. The stone-mason isn't able to finish the project in time, and the Asgard gods get to keep Freyja, the sun, and the moon (not to mention their new wall).
