- Back in their room, Ron asks Harry how he did it. Really, Ron? You think that (mostly) honest Harry Potter would do something like that?
- No, no, wait, there's more: Ron is actually legit annoyed that Harry won't tell him how he got his name in the Goblet of Fire.
- So, now Harry's peeved—you know, since he swears he didn't do it, and he expects his best friend to believe him.
- Ron doesn't believe him, though. Guys, you really don't need any extra drama right now. For our sake, can you get it together?
- Rita Skeeter from The Daily Prophet (that's the wizarding community's newspaper) is there getting the story on the Triwizard champions.
- She grabs Harry for the first interview and pulls him off to a private area.
- She starts pushing him with intrusive questions and reading into what he must be feeling, etc. She's funny, but she doesn't seem super likeable or ethical.
- Harry is up in the owlery and an owl arrives for him from Sirius. He wants to meet Harry in the Gryffindor common room on Saturday night. Wait, what? How is that going to work? Isn't he kind of still a fugitive?
- Harry shows up for his meeting with Sirius in the common room. The room appears to be empty.
- While he's waiting, he starts reading the article Rita Skeeter wrote about him. Naturally, it's all lies—she never did get his age right.
- He throws the paper in the fire. Suddenly, he notices the fire moving in a weird way, and Sirius' face appears. Oh, so this is his way of "meeting"—by becoming a fire. Naturally.
- Sirius asks Harry if he put his name in the goblet, and then they talk about Harry's dream with Voldemort, Wormtail, and a third man he didn't recognize.
- In the dream, Harry says, Voldemort is planning to use that mysterious third man to get to Harry.
- They both seem to hope it was just a dream…but, yeah, the signs aren't great. Sirius warns Harry that Hogwarts isn't safe.
- Suddenly, Ron interrupts their little powwow, coming down to investigate the voices in the common room. Harry pretends that Ron was just hearing things. Those two still aren't getting along.
- When Harry returns to the fire, Sirius is gone.
- Neville and Harry are hanging out by the lake, and Neville is reading a book that Mad Eye gave him.
- Hermione, Ron, and Ginny arrive.
- Ron is refusing to talk to Harry and is playing that whole "Tell Harry that so-and-so said" game. He tells Hermione to tell Harry that Hagrid is looking for him.
