Professor Quirrell/Voldemort

There's a number of potential bad guys to choose from in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, but the only one who actually closes the deal is the one we never saw coming.

Quirrell seems destined for comic relief status for most of the movie—he's wimpy, stuttering, and spineless. But every good mystery needs a twist ending, and when Quirrell reveals himself for what he truly is, there's no question that he's the true antagonist.

Or rather, he's the host of the true antagonist. The real-deal Big Bad is camping out on the back of his head. While Quirrell acts as the front man, Voldemort's pushing the buttons behind the scenes.
