Ashley

A smart-mouthed Catholic school girl with a Blackberry isn't the kind of character you'd imagine filling a role usually occupied by literary giants like Gandalf and Dumbledore, but Ashley performs the job of Sam's spirit guide quite admirably. She educates him on the finer points of necromancy, advises him on how to handle Douglas, helps him and Bridin bust out of their cage, and ultimately agrees to accompany Sam as a trusted counselor once he assumes Douglas's position of power.
