Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' quirky, upbeat soundtrack is the perfect companion to a quirky, upbeat film.

The score was composed by James Horner, who's best known for his work on more serious affairs like James Cameron's Titanic and Avatar. Dude can't take credit for "My Heart Will Go On," though.

Even if this score sounds pretty different from his other work at first, however, it employs many of the same classic orchestral techniques. The main theme, for example, has a lot of dense musicality going on under the surface. (Plus the thing was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. That's a big deal.)

Not-so-fun side note: the soundtrack contains motifs taken from the work of composers Nino Rota and Raymond Scott—and Scott's work was uncredited. Whoops. Luckily for Scott, he managed to finagle an out-of-court settlement from Disney, earning him a rightful piece of the profit to which his work was an important—albeit often unrecognized—factor.
