Jules/Chauncey and Dabria/Miss Greene

If someone tries to kill the protagonist, that person is, most likely, a bad guy. In Hush, Hush, we get not one but two characters out to kill Nora, each for their own reasons. Dabria wants to do Nora in out of good old-fashioned jealousy and possessiveness, while Jules wants to bump Nora off as a way of torturing Patch for using him as a vassal all these years. Even though they have their unique motivations, both want to do Nora serious physical harm, making them both antagonists. Nora has to survive this dynamic duo if she wants to live to see the second book in the series.
