Case Description: Complainant (Jason) accuses Defendant (King Pelias) of grand theft for taking Jason's rightful throne. When Pelias kicked Jason's father, Aeson, off the throne, Jason's mother hid the infant with Chiron to be raised. After Jason grew to manhood, though, he returned to Iolchus to claim his birthright.
Case Status: Case pending. King Pelias told Jason that if he traveled to the distant land of Colchis and returned with the legendary Golden Fleece, he would give Jason the throne. Jason agreed, rounded up the Argonauts, and set sail.
