- Reese goes to see Mr. Hooft, who tells him to be good so he doesn't go back to jail. Looks like he's really come around.
- In the lobby, Father Santoro is telling Mr. Pugh about what a good worker Reese is. Mr. Pugh lets him sit in the front seat on the way back to Progress.
- Reese tells Mr. Pugh about the cops who want to pin him with a crime he didn't commit.
- As they're driving, some guys stop in front of the van. When one of them flips Mr. Pugh off, Mr. P pulls out a gun. Yikes.
- One of the guys comes to the window and threatens Mr. Pugh. Mr. P pulls the gun on him and pretends to be a cop. He really enjoys this display of force.
- Later, Mr. P offers Reese a piece of advice: If Reese isn't careful, he's going to mess himself up. Reese isn't sure what he means.
- Back at Progress, there's no sign of the two cops, but Reese is still really nervous.
- Play jokes around with Reese during dinner, but Reese can't get into it—he's too worried. He can't even eat, and he keeps watching the door.
