Exactly how steamy is this story?
PG-13
There's nothing graphic onstage, but Hally does mention the time that he walked in on Sam and his girlfriend, Cynthia, "going at it." That's as far as the steam rises in "Master Harold"…and the boys, but it's enough to make Hally's ears turn red. The scene where Hally confronts Sam and spits on him can be pretty disconcerting, but we think most older kids can deal with it. Hally's verbal abuse of his good friend Sam is as violent as it gets in the play, but it's still pretty disturbing.
