Exactly how steamy is this story?
G
The only thing steaming up the pages of Mortal Engines is all the hot blood being spilled by a succession of bombings, shootings, stabbings, beheadings, and other creative ways to die. With all that carnage, it's a wonder there's any time for love at all. It does sneak up on Katherine, and she gives Bevis one passionate kiss, but before you know it, he's been liquefied, and there aren't even anymore lips to kiss. Love, like life, is fleeting.
