Anny Timeline and Summary

Out of nowhere, Antoine gets a letter from Anny saying she'll be in France soon and that she'd like to see him.
Anny doesn't actually appear until the final chapter of the book. Antoine meets her in her hotel room, where the two of them reminisce about their time together and Anny tells Antoine how much she has changed over the years. Time and experience have made her cynical, and she no longer chases the perfect moments that she used to.
She tells Antoine that she's leaving the next day with her new lover, and that's exactly what she does. She appreciates the fact that Antoine has learned how bad of a boyfriend he was to her, but it's too late for him.
