Guide Mentor
Character Role Analysis
Antigone
Antigone is, quite literally, Oedipus’ guide. He can’t see, so it’s up to her to tell him where to put his feet when they walk on the rocky ground, where to sit down when it’s time to rest, and who she sees approaching when they get to the new cities. Perhaps this role as guide prepares her to be the strong character we’ll see in Antigone.
