Oedipus

Oedipus is the central figure in Oedipus at Colonus. Heck, his name is even in the title. The play is all about the end of his life, leading to his death after a lot of suffering. Oedipus’ attitudes toward his fate are what we’re supposed to be paying attention to, and the fact that he accepts his punishment makes it so that his death is not so bad.
