Although Punkzilla contains letters from writers other than Jamie, they're all addressed to him, and they all contribute to the narrative of his life. Jamie's letters to P comprise the majority of the book, and it's his journey we're on—we ride with him from Portland to Memphis, holding our breath every time he gets into a new vehicle. Jamie's objective is clear: get from one side of the country to the other. And in this book, he grabs readers by the throat and takes them with him.
