In Sarah, Plain and Tall, there isn't some villain wearing all black and lurking in the corners, trying to find the right time to snatch Sarah away from the Witting family. No, the main antagonist is Sarah's own feelings of homesickness. Although Sarah has grown fond of the Witting family, she misses her hometown—especially the sea, her brother, and her silly aunts.
