The Law of the Sea
- The next morning the maids come to help Camilla get dressed. Because Camilla is sweet as all get-out, she puts some crumbs under the bed for Louise.
- Next thing the mice know, Camilla and the rest of the Upstairs Cranstons are on the deck for a lifeboat drill, looking pretty silly in their life preservers.
- Up on the deck, Beatrice becomes the brave one—she decides to jump into Mrs. Cranston's cape so she can see the show. Louise follows and hops onto Camilla.
- Poor Helena is left on her own. Eventually she climbs up a dude named Plunkett and hides out in his bowler hat.
- Up in the hat, Helena figures out that the human she's using as transportation is a British servant. She also does some people watching. Helena spots a hoity toity nanny and a small boy, who she figures must be Lord Sandown, the five-year-old future earl that the Duchess told her about.
- She also sees Lord Peter—and he's just as handsome as the Duchess said.
- The saddest sight Helena sees is poor Olive, puking over the side of the ship. But Lord Peter is a nice bloke and wants Plunkett to help her out.
- This is bad news for Helena. When Plunkett is with the Cranstons, he takes his hat off, like gentleman do, sending Helena flying—she barely lands on the ship's railing. Everyone sees her and Mrs. Cranston freaks out while Camilla thinks that Helena is Louise, her favorite mouse. Helena sees Nigel and the Mouse Scouts having a drill in the lifeboat.
- Before any humans can grab her, Helena sprints away.
