Exactly how steamy is this story?
Barely PG-13
Ship Breaker is a book about adventure and friendship, not sex. Sure, there's a teeny bit of romance toward the end (we have to wonder if Nailer's decision to look for Nita is based on ethics or romantic feelings) and a pretty awkward kiss, but Nailer is much more focused on survival than on his crush on Nita. What makes it PG-13 is that when Sloth betrays Nailer and is kicked off of light crew, there's discussion about how she will most likely turn to prostitution to survive. This is mostly implied, but since it's pretty easy to infer, the book merits a PG-13 rating.
