A Song of Despair Summary

Nothing much really happens in the poem, but here's the gist: A very sad guy remembers his ex, and compares how lonely he feels to a wharf that's been abandoned by all the boats at dawn.

He talks about the way she meant everything to him, and compares her to the sea, in which everything sinks. The whole thing is pretty bleak, and concludes with him standing there, empty-handed and irrefutably alone.
