Emma
- Emma is really distracted in band class, but she's pulled out of her daze by her boyfriend, Graham, who has shaved off all his blonde hair. He teases her about it, but she just kind of stares at him.
- At lunch, Emma talks to her best friend, Kellan, about how she needs to break up with Graham.
- The two friends lament about all the stupid things that boys do, like shaving their heads, and then Emma asks Kellan for her opinion about time travel.
- Kellan says that she thinks that the idea is possible in theory, though she personally wouldn't want to be involved in it.
- Then Kellan changes the subject and starts talking about the hot guys in her college science class. Kellan's goal is for Emma to fall in love before graduation.
- Emma doesn't believe in love, though, so she challenges Kellan's fantasy with the topic of her ex-boyfriend, Tyson. Kellan stubbornly insists that the relationship was "worth it" because she loved him.
