Lionel Logue

It's not clear what would have happened to Bertie if Lionel Logue had never entered his life. Part of being a great mentor is telling your friend the truth even when they might not want to hear it… and that's exactly what Logue does with Bertie.

Time and again, Logue pushes Bertie to the point where Bertie is going to walk away from him forever. But every time, Bertie comes back because he eventually realizes that Logue is right. Logue shows his skills as a mentor best in the Westminster Abbey scene, where he shows Bertie once and for all that he's got what it takes to be the king.
