Joel Cairo

Joel Cairo is a classic companion character. He does the dirty work of the bad guy and serves as a small bit of comic relief, albeit at his expense. We're not even given a reason why he works for Gutman…but he does. It's also alluded that he once worked with Brigid too, in Istanbul. We don't get to read Cairo's gardenia-scented calling card, but it might say Joel Cairo: Companion For Hire.
