Roscuro

Roscuro the rat is a bad sort, especially after his traumatizing experience falling into the queen's soup, which leads to her untimely death. Roscuro blames Princess Pea for all his problems, and is therefore consumed with the idea of exacting revenge on her and keeping her in the dungeons for all time. He carries out this plan in a devious way, and Despereaux has to challenge him in order to save the princess and return her safely to the castle and to her father.
