Tommo

There's no doubt about who we've got to root for here: it's Tommo, six ways from Sunday. As we've said again and again, this is his story. It might be nice to think that he could have a sweet, peaceful kind of life in the valley, perhaps in that hut Marheyo's always building. But as soon as it becomes clear that a) Tommo's not a visitor but a prisoner, and b) he'd like to get out ASAP, we know to root for him as he makes that final dash to the shore. Tommo, after all, just wants his freedom. Isn't that what most of us want too?
