Momma, Dad, and Byron?

Momma and Dad make a pretty good team, and together, they help Kenny through most of his troubles. Momma is there to help him make up with Rufus after their fight, and Dad helps Kenny understand why Byron has to go to Birmingham. However, after the church bombing, Kenny won't talk to anyone, not even Momma and Dad. To everyone's shock, it's Byron who finally gets through to Kenny. Maybe that's because only Byron knows about the Wool Pooh or because it's easier for Kenny to confess that he feels ashamed to Byron, who knows a thing or two about making mistakes. Either way, our juvenile delinquent somehow grew into a mentor when we weren't paying attention.
