The words and sentence-structure (syntax) of this poem are pretty easy-going. The only potential hiccup with this little guy is the obscurity of the references: who is the speaker? Who is he talking about? Why did Byron write this anyway? A quick perusal of our "In a Nutshell" section should help you there, however, so there's little to fear with this poem.
