Character Role Analysis

Peter and Boris

Peter and Boris have very different opinions about how to run the Baker's Band. On one hand, Peter believes they shouldn't compromise their morals in order to earn some extra cash. On the other, Boris will do anything so long as it pays well. The difference between these two boys becomes one of the book's main conflicts.
