Walter Hartright Timeline and Summary

Walter's friend Pesca hooks him up with a job at Limmeridge House as a drawing teacher for two sisters, Marian and Laura Fairlie.
Walter meets the spooky Anne Catherick, recently escaped from an asylum.
At Limmeridge Walter becomes friends with Marian and falls for her sister Laura.
Walter and Marian investigate Anne Catherick and her connections to the Fairlies.
Walter is bummed to learn that Laura is engaged to Sir Percival.
He then heads off to South America for an expedition.
Months later, Walter returns to England.
He's devastated to learn that Laura is dead.
The devastation only lasts five minutes though, because it turns out Laura is really alive.
Walter, Marian, and Laura hide out in London together.
Walter investigates Laura's case and tries to bring down Percival and Fosco.
His investigation takes him to Welmingham, where he learns that Sir Percival is illegitimate.
Sir Percival dies in a fire in the Welmingham church, despite Walter's efforts to save him.
Walter marries Laura and they have a son, also named Walter.
Walter then turns his attention to Fosco.
He learns that Fosco is on the lam from a political society.
Walter confronts him and gets a written confession from him.
