As we noted in "Minor Characters," secondary characters in Woman on the Edge of Time don't get a lot of screentime (pagetime?). There's Connie, and also Connie, and Connie, too. So it's not hard to figure out that she's the protagonist—whether she's trying just to get herself out of the asylum or save the world of the future.
