Crazy Rich Asians Theme of Wealth

This should be a no-brainer. We couldn't talk about Crazy Rich Asians and not talk about wealth.

This book is riddled with designer name-drops, from clothes to sunglasses to cars to housewares. While it feels gratuitous since you can hardly get through a paragraph without googling things like what Pierre Hardy flats look like or who on earth Isabel Maran is, it serves to build the world of extraneous wealth. These people don't live in the same world the rest of us do; they live in a world that is practically designed specifically for their commission, whether it's their couture or their car.
