Don't be disobedient, says Paul. God wants you to follow his rules. Sure, you haven't earned his favor by being good, but don't tick him off by being a huge jerk.

Now being drunk is out, too. Mainly, Paul wants people to act in a way that's smart. Paul's advice: don't go around doing whatever you want because that has consequences in the end.

This is one principled suit of armor. Defending yourself against evil is like getting ready for a fight. Personally, we're pretty psyched about the way we look when we're wearing Shoes of Peace.
