- Tyler/Jack looks out the window and sees Marla getting off a bus and heading into the building with a group of Project Mayhem men.
- Sixty seconds until Project Mayhem's plan goes into motion, and Tyler/Jack wants to stop it.
- He realizes that since Tyler doesn't exist, Tyler isn't holding the gun…He is.
- So he puts the gun in his own mouth…
- And pulls the trigger. Kablammo!
- Somehow he's fine, you know, just a gaping hole in his cheek, but imaginary Tyler dies and disappears.
