House: Gryffindor, 6th Year

Ginny barely figures in this book – at least in terms of page count – but the glimpses we get of her show us a girl who's grown up a lot, and is still developing into a feisty, strong-willed, amazing young woman. Ginny is confident and capable, and seems to know exactly what she wants. And for our favorite example: her birthday kiss to Harry shows him that she's still waiting for him, and makes her intentions clear. Obviously, it works, since we see the two of them happily married in the Epilogue!

Ginny's unseen actions also imply that she's a real Gryffindor, courageous and confident. Along with Neville and Luna back at Hogwarts, she's one of the leaders of the resurrected Dumbledore's Army, and she takes part in the effort to steal Gryffindor's sword. She also shows pluck and fire when she tries to join the fight at Hogwarts, despite being underage; when Harry needs to get into the Room of Requirement, Ginny eagerly runs off to join the fray. Unafraid in the face of extreme danger, Ginny is a true Weasley – loyal, brave, loving, and earnest.

And we'll leave you with a little bit of extra info from the one and only J.K. Rowling:

After a few years as a celebrated player for the Holyhead Harpies, Ginny retired to have her family and to become the Senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet! (source)
