Lucius Malfoy has been a snide, condescending, and Voldemort-loving brownnoser since the very beginning, and he's not really any better in this book. However, his circumstances have changed, since he's in disgrace with the Dark Lord, and is desperately trying to regain his favor. We don't really see what he gets up to, but he's pretty much the same old Lucius, just down on his luck… until the end, where we see him huddled with Narcissa and Draco in Hogwarts after the battle. The Malfoy parents apparently choose family over Death Eater allegiance in the last battle, and end up running through the fighting hordes, just looking for Draco. So… well, score one for Team Malfoy. We guess (grudgingly) that they're not as entirely evil as they seemed.
