How It All Goes Down
- Twoflower and Hrun sit in their cell discussing whether or not the dragons that took them were real dragons or not.
- Twoflower asks what happens next, and Hrun suggests he'll be dragged to an arena soon where he'll do battle with some giant spiders, rescue a princess, and find the treasure—per the usual. Then he falls asleep.
- A woman enters the cell, stands over Hrun's bed, and tries to stab him. One of Hrun's hands catches the knife, though, while the other reaches for his sword. And then he wakes up.
- Liessa introduces herself, and some of her guards take Twoflower elsewhere.
- She makes Hrun a proposition: If he kills her two brothers in mortal combat, he can marry her and become the ruler of Wyrmberg.
- Hrun throws his bunk at one of the guards and defeats the remainder with his bare hands.
- Liessa asks if he intends to kill her, but Hrun explains he's just "keeping in practice" (3.12.79). Time to fight those brothers.
