Mark Frost is known as the co-creator of Twin Peaks, a TV show that featured, among other things, a dancing dwarf speaking backwards. The Paladin Prophecy does in fact have a dwarf, but this dwarf a lot easier to understand than the one on the confusing cult TV show. The plot of The Paladin Prophecy is just as convoluted as that of Twin Peaks, but it's presented in a much more accessible way. This is just season one, after all, and Frost wants to keep you interested so you move on to season two. Oops, we mean book two.
